LIVS is located on the South Service Road of Long Island Expressway between exits 46 and 48.

From the East: Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 46 (Sunnyside Blvd.), make a left at the traffic light at the end of the off-ramp onto Sunnyside Blvd. and then make a quick left onto the service road of the Long Island Expressway going back East. Continue on the service road for 1.2 miles. LIVS is on the right, before P.C. Richard and the Ski and Patio Stop.

From the West: Long Island Expressway to exit 46 (Sunnyside Blvd.) Continue on the service road for 1.2 miles. LIVS is on the right, before P.C. Richard and the Ski and Patio Stop.

Using Local Roads: Take Old Country Road to Newtown Road ( one block west of Plainview Post Office ), go north on Newtown Road to end. Make a right onto the Long Island Expressway south service road. You will see LIVS on the right about 1/8th mile next to P.C. Richard and the Ski Stop. Note: Sunnyside Blvd. is also Exit 38 on Northern State Parkway.

When its necessary to admit a pet to LIVS, our Specialists and staff work closely with your primary care veterinarian to assure that the pet receives the highest level of care. Our staff will remain in touch with you throughout your pet's stay and be in constant contact with your family Vet to ensure a continuum of care.

After Hours: Should a problem arise after normal business hours, all departments are covered by the Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center at Long Island Veterinary Specialists. It is always best to call in advance when possible, however, if problems arise, do not hesitate to bring your pet in immediately. This facility is staffed 24-hours by veterinarians and technicians ready to assist you and your pet.
